The Business Development Manager will develop and pursue sales opportunities autonomously to deliver strong and dependable results. You will be selling digital solutions to medical specialists and practices across Australia.

Our team has experienced significant growth over the past few years, and we are looking for a motivated salesperson to drive our new business development activities. This role is based in Bondi Junction, and approximately 30-50% of your time will be spent travelling to meet with clients in Sydney and around Australia.


  • Discover, develop and pursue sales opportunities to exceed targets – you will identify cold leads through business development and also manage in-bound leads generated via existing channels
  • Develop and manage your pipeline and the end-to-end sales process, including maintaining opportunities within our CRM software
  • Sales pipeline forecasting to manage, maintain and grow your pipeline
  • Prepare and finalise sales contracts, with efficient handover to Account Management personnel
  • Understand HealthShare’s business products and value proposition and effectively articulate your in-depth knowledge to potential customers
  • Provide relevant feedback to management and peers to guide product changes and opportunities
  • Proactively research new business opportunities and viable income streams
  • Attend conferences and trade displays as HealthShare brand ambassador

Skills and attributes

  • 3+ years of proven success in a similar sales or business development role
  • Experience with designing and implementing effective business development strategies
  • Persistent, resilient and comfortable cold calling
  • Confident presenting to large groups of up to thirty (30) professionals
  • Well-organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • High-level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, driven, go-getter who rises to a challenge
  • Ambitious and always looking for ways to improve
  • Able to work effectively within a team environment as well as autonomously
  • Outgoing and friendly with strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the healthcare and/or technology industries is desirable
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field desirable
  • Hold and maintain a current driver's licence
