Leading clinical software provider Zedmed has announced a strategic partnership with digital health company, HealthShare, to integrate its Specialist and Allied Health Referrals Directory into Zedmed’s practice management software.
The inclusion of HealthShare’s directory will allow Zedmed users to have access to Australia’s most used Specialist and Allied Health Directory.
The directory includes comprehensive and up-to-date information about private practising specialists and allied health practitioners, helping practitioners quickly and easily make the right referral decisions for their patient. It also reduces administrative burden for practice staff by reducing the need to maintain their local address book.
In addition, the directory allows practitioners to search for specialists who participate in “No Gap” and “Known Gap” arrangements, with 29 private health insurers including Bupa, HBF, HCF, nib, member funds of the Australian Health Service Alliance and member funds of the Australian Regional Health Group.
The directory supports the sending of electronic referrals to specialists and allied health practitioners and will shortly allow GPs to see waiting times for practitioners, to help determine which practitioner to refer to.
